Costa Rica Hacienda Sonora Cascara Cherry

Cascara, a Spanish word that translates to peel, is a process that uses not the coffee bean, but rather the outer husk that is removed after harvesting. Previously, this natural by-product of coffee production was used as fertiliser, to enrich the soil for future crops. Although this is still done, some farms are using this dried peels as a tea like product. 

Producing sweet, fruity, mellow citrus flavours, the Cascara Cherry can be used as a tea brew or transformed into a soda like drink. Brew for approximately 5 minutes to enjoy!
