About the Producer
What better than to hear from Denilson himself.
“I am the fourth generation of coffee producers; my grandfather is one of the founders of the village and he started to plant coffee many years ago. My father followed his steps and work[ed] hard to improve the quality of coffees, so, in 2008 he won first place in the Cup of Excellence Competition. I learned with my father all about coffee, because I [have been] going to the farm with him since childhood and I have always helped him. In 2013, when I turned 14 years old my father bought and gave me this property [so I could] have my own farm, he helped me economically to make a coffee nursery and plant the farm with the condition that the utility of this farm is only to pay my university; In 2016 the farm started to produce pacas coffee and since then, I prepare all to speciality coffee. In 2018 I ingress to the University of Agriculture to study agribusiness and on vacation, I work[ed] on the farm. Next year I will finish [my] studies and I hope to return to work on the farm and help my family to improve the processes of the preparation of the coffee and help to promote our coffees in the world”.
