About the Producer
One of the main “Vides Family Farms”, Finca El Rincón produces many of the micro-lots we love at LCM, including La Danta.
Roberto Molina acquired Finca El Rincón in 1956 and planted Caturra, Bourbon and Catuai. After his death in 2012, his wife Yolanda Garrido de Molina worked the farm until 2016 and the legacy of the Molina’s lives on with their nephews now, managing and overseeing production on the farm.
The output from Finca El Rincón is vast and varied, producing washed, honey and natural processed lots. La Danta is a classic washed coffee; cherries are picked by hand to ensure only completely ripe cherries are collected before being depulped and fermented for 24 hours. They are then washed and dried on a patio until they reach the required humidity and moisture level.
