About the Producer

Diomed comes from a large, multi-generational family of coffee producers whose farms are all on a large property, originally owned by Don Arturo Montano.  After his death, Don Arturo's vast land in Palermo, North Huila, was divided between his many sons, daughters, nieces and nephews, of which Diomed inherited the 8-hectare area known as Finca Pennsylvania.  

We were extremely impressed by the super sweet and juicy character of his coffee, it's a very elegant expression of the washed Colombian coffees we love to source from our partners at Azahar.  This is our first time purchasing from Diomed and we look forward to exploring the lots available from him and his family in future seasons.

Diomed employs 3 full-time workers to help with the day-to-day running of the farm, and this workforce grows to 20 during the harvest, when he employs itinerant workers to help with picking.
