About the Producer
Eduardo's father began his career in coffee production in another region of Santa Barbara, Honduras. Eduardo grew up working alongside his father on the coffee farms. However in 1979, Eduardo’s father moved the family to the La Leona region, where his father bought property on credit. Together, they planted the land with an abundance of coffee. In 1994 his father bought a second property which today, is where the Parainema varietal is produced.
Eduardo inherited his father's properties 7 years ago, and with the help of some specialty coffee-producing neighbours, he decided to plant this last property with more Parainema coffee. Through collaboration, Benjamin Paz encouraged Eduardo to process this coffee for the specialty market, as the location of the farm has the potential to produce fantastic quality coffee.
It was not until last year that Eduardo prepared his first micro-lot of specialty coffee and has worked closely with Benjamin, to export this exceptional coffee.
Eduardo continues working hard in honour of the legacy that his father created and left to him. He hopes to secure a permanent market for his coffee, with the longing for his children to continue the family legacy in years to come.
