In the 1950's, the Hidalgo family began to grow coffee on land located in the La Libertad Municipality, Huehuetenango. Don Silvano Hidalgo inherited a part of the farm in the 1970's from his father, named Las Camelias; getting this name as his father grew Camelia flowers in his garden. This dessert like coffee has a delectable sweet chocolate finish with excellent body, with flavour notes of sweet nectarine and honeysuckle.
