Finca Cruz Loma is located in Pichincha, Ecuador. The farm has been in the Morales family for generations and is now run and managed by Galo Morales and his wife. This completely family run business is known for its award-winning coffee.
This coffee from Finca Cruz Loma is a Typica variety that has undergone the honey processing method. This processing method is the hybrid of the traditional natural method and the washing processing method. Coffee cherries are depulped and most of the fruit is removed excepting a sticky muilage which looks a lot like honey, hence the name. Then, without washing, the coffee is dried out naturally.
